Fraud: Gates Street
A girl, 81, reported Aug. 27 being the sufferer of a rip-off through which she obtained a cellphone name from somebody claiming to be her grandson and saying he was arrested and want cash for bond. An unknown man arrived at her dwelling hours later and he or she gave him $15,000 money. It was believed the suspect arrived in a white van. The incident is beneath investigation and police say a number of northeast Ohio businesses are investigating comparable crimes.
Welfare verify: Mayfield Street
Officers checked on a person strolling within the roadway and carrying a cooler Aug. 24 and located he was a contractor strolling to his dwelling in South Euclid. He was given a courtesy journey
Home dispute: Battles Street
officers responded to a residence Aug. 25 for a report of a person and his girlfriend concerned in an altercation. They realized the couple had been ingesting alcohol and there was an argument over the person taking the girl’s cellphone. There was no proof of violence and the person had left the house previous to the arrival of officers. The cellphone was subsequently positioned in the lounge.
Disturbance: Previous Mill Street
A Bicyclist stated Aug. 27 automobile drove by him at excessive charge of pace and wildly blew its horn whereas he was using close to River Street. The automobile was not positioned however the incident was documented.
