CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 56-year-old white man is charged with a felony after he shouted racial slurs and threats about his new Black neighbors, based on police.
Randy Billett, 56, is charged with ethnic intimidation, a fifth-degree felony. He didn’t present up for his Friday arraignment and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The incident occurred about 1 p.m. on July 25 on West 102nd Avenue between Jasper and Thrush avenues within the metropolis’s West Boulevard neighborhood.
A 28-year-old Black girl informed police she lately purchased the house and lives there together with her youngsters.
The lady informed police she was unloading her automobile whereas shifting in when she and two mates, together with one who’s Puerto Rican, heard the following door neighbor shout: “F–k these n—–s and f—–g Puerto Ricans. I’m not gonna allow them to take over my neighborhood. I’ll f—–g kill them and their youngsters and set their homes on fireplace,” based on police studies.
The lady’s two mates additionally informed police they heard the neighbor shout the slurs and threats, based on police. They didn’t see the person due to a tall fence that separates the 2 yards, based on police.
